WHAT'S IN THAT FOOD? FIND OUT AT ADVENTURE SCIENCE CENTER'S FIRST SUPER FOOD FESTIVAL

Visitors Invited to Make Their Own Ice Cream, Participate in a Cooking Demonstration or Create a New Cola during this Jan. 13 Event

What:

Science is behind everything, even our food! Adventure Science Center will explore the science behind foods at the first Super Food Festival where kids can explore the mystery of certain food.

Visitors will make dry ice root beer and liquid nitrogen ice cream. There will be a cola taste test as well as a chance to create original cola. Participants can also test their taste buds and learn about the science of candy. In addition, visitors can design their own egg capsule and compete in a launch to see which eggs break.

Local chef Pete Prossor will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to teach guests about the chemistry of cooking. Prossor is the owner of Chef Tested.

Notes:

Admission to Adventure Science Center is $9 for adults, and $7 for children ages 3 to 12 and seniors age 60 or older. Food Fest is included in regular admission. For more information, please call Virginia Crowe at (615) 401-5059
