Questions? We've Got Answers on Tsunami and Other Natural Disasters

Adventure Science Center and Vanderbilt University Center for Science Outreach Set to Host Forum

What: Adventure Science Center and Vanderbilt University Center for Science Outreach are hosting a public forum on tsunami and other naturally occurring disasters. The forum will help answer questions about the recent tragedy in the Indian Ocean and how to help the victims.

In addition, information about natural disasters in the U.S and how to prepare and react to them will be discussed, followed by a question and answer session.

Event panelists include:

  • Geologist John C. Ayers, Vanderbilt University Department of Geology
  • Oceanographic expert Jeff Johnston, Vanderbilt University Center for Teaching
  • Meteorologist Davis Nolan, WKRN News 2
  • Director of Communication Amy Hall, the Nashville area Red Cross
