Nashville, TN - The tail fin of a '57 Chevy. Your favorite old movie. That unforgettable smile. Classic. You know it when you see it, but sometimes you just can't put your finger on it. Guests at Adventure Science Center's annual costume gala, The Caper, will provide their definition of "Classic" as they dine and dance the night away in clever costumes or classic black tie.

The Caper, set for March 27th, at Adventure Science Center includes a costume contest - the winner of which will be awarded the coveted Caper Cup - and also a silent auction featuring trips, art, children's items and much more. The Patrons Party for the event will be held March 11 at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Hope and Cal Turner III.

"Adventure Science Center's Caper is one of the most fun and unique events in Nashville," says Renee Ard, Caper Chair with her husband DeVan Ard. "We are delighted to support the Science Center's mission of providing a fun, interactive learning experience for children and families."

Proceeds from The Caper support operations of Adventure Science Center. Last year's event raised approximately $60,000. This year's goal has been increased to $100,000. To purchase tickets, call Lindsay Wright at (615) 401-5058.

For more than 59 years, Adventure Science Center has brought science to life for children in Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, Northern Alabama and beyond. The center offers hands-on, interactive exhibits and engaging programs that encourage children of all ages to explore how science, invention and innovation affect their lives. Adventure Science Center is a place where imagination and curiosity are encouraged and all the senses are engaged in learning the excitement and fascination that the sciences engender.

Adventure Science Center's regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8.75 for adults and $6.75 for children ages 3 to 12 and seniors age 65 and older.
