It’s a new year and we have four special days of enrichment classes sure to get your students excited about science. You not only get to reserve in advance but can plan the classes you want to attend for the whole year. Details about how these themed days are organized are answered below.

  • HOW IS THE DAY ORGANIZED? Families can arrive and check in as early as 12:00 for the 1 pm sessions. The schedule is a mixture of classroom and theater-style programs in one-hour blocks. The schedule begins at 1 pm and ends at 4 pm but your family can stay until 5 and explore. Each entry fee pays for one person to attend up to 3 programs in 3 hours. Your family can pack a lunch and eat in the Skyline Room. Exhibit exploration is included in the fee.
  • HOW DO WE REGISTER? Look at the schedules for each date and fill in the registration form with contact information, payment, and your choices. Use the codes under each schedule to identify programs. Mail in your registration as soon as you can but no later than 3 weeks before the date listed. Registrations are accepted for any dates.   • WHAT DOES IT COST TO ATTEND THE HALF-DAY SESSION? Members are $7.50 per person, non-members are $9.00 per person. Any adult or child that takes a space in one or more programs must pay the rate listed above. If you do not attend the special programs, see member and non-member directions below. This fee pays for entry to special programs and exploration of the science center. Advance registration is required to participate. A non-refundable deposit of $10 by check (for up to 4 people) is required to reserve your space in sessions for each date. The remainder is due at entry. Deposits are not transferable to other dates.
  • HOW DO WE KNOW WHAT SESSIONS WE ARE IN? As registrations are received, slots will be filled based on your registration form. If a time slot fills, a participant will be placed in any other available time slot for that program (based on age level) at the discrimination of staff arranging the schedule. We cannot guarantee sessions in each slot for every age group in your family but we will try our best to fill as many as possible. Students will only be placed in age appropriate sessions. No advance schedule will be mailed out but may be sent through email if an address is provided on the registration form. Educators will have rosters listing participants in each time slot. You may also check the website to see if sessions are full.
  • WHAT ARE YOUR HOME SCHOOL DAY POLICIES?
    • Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in the removal of a student from the session. No refund will be given.
    • We cannot guarantee that you will get programs in every session. No discounts or refunds are given if you choose to attend fewer programs.
    • Parents/chaperones must always stay in the Center during sessions but can sit out of sessions (depending on member or non-member status). Students may not be dropped off at ASC for sessions.
    • Participants will receive a paper wristband and must keep this on for all sessions.
    • Only Adventure Science Center memberships qualify for the discounted rate, reciprocal memberships from other institutions do not apply. Coupons and special discounts do not apply to home school sessions.
  • HOW DO WE REGISTER IF WE ARE ASC MEMBERS? Although home school programs are not included in the member benefits package you do receive a discount. Each adult and/or child taking a space in a program must pay the entry fee of $7.50. If you want to be with your child in the sessions, you must indicate this on your form so that we can allot a space for you in the sessions. Send your form and a deposit of $10 per date to hold your space in sessions ($10 for up to 4). Members that decide to stay out of sessions enter as a member to the science center and will not receive a bracelet to go in to programs. Since we fill up in advance, we cannot make changes on the date of the sessions.
  • HOW DO WE REGISTER IF WE ARE NON-MEMBERS? Each adult and /or child taking a space in a program must pay the entry fee of $9 per person. If you want to be with your child in the sessions, you must indicate this on your form so that we can allot a space for you in the sessions. If you are unable or do not want to be in sessions, you will pay the daily admission rate for any members of your party of $9 for adults and $7 for children ages 3-12. Since we fill up in advance, we cannot make changes on the date of the sessions.
  • WHAT IF WE ONLY GO TO TWO OR LESS PROGRAMS? The rate does not change if you choose to attend less than 3 programs or we are unable to place you in all slots. Anyone that attends one or more programs must pay the fee. Parents must accompany students on the date of the sessions but can choose to sit out of sessions if students are in 3rd and above (see fees explanations below).
