See the sky as never before in the NEW Sudekum Planetarium. A breathtakingly beautiful starry sky combined with high resolution, full dome, digital projections will take your group on a trip beyond the final frontier. An out of this world experience in the Sudekum Planetarium makes a great kickoff or climax for your studies of astronomy and space exploration. The Sudekum Planetarium seats 166 people and programs are scheduled in one hour blocks.

Nine Planets and Counting

Grades 3 and up   

How many planets are there in our solar system? Nine, right? Or is it eight? Maybe it's ten, or twelve, or more. Take a tour to explore the variety of objects that populate our solar system. And just what IS a planet, anyway? The answer may surprise you. Available October 1, 2008

STARS

Grades 5 and up   

Every star has a story. Some are as old as time, faint and almost forgotten. Others burn bright and end their lives in powerful explosions. New stars are created every day, born of vast clouds of gas and dust. Through every phase of their existence, stars release the energy that lights the Universe. Journey to the furthest reaches of our galaxy and experience both the awesome beauty and destructive power of stars.

STARS is the inaugural program for the new Sudekum Planetarium. It features the voice talent of Mark Hamill and an original soundtrack performed by the Grammy Award winning Nashville Symphony Orchestra.
