The Traveling Laboratory

Does your school lack the necessary means and resources to give your students an incredible educational hands-on lab experience? Let the Adventure Science Center bring the lab to you! An ASC Educator will come to your school and present a 45-minute hands-on lab for up to 30 students (per lab). The students can work directly from their desks so no special lab space is required.

Plant Lab

Learn the main parts of a flowering plant and each part's function. Investigate flower parts in a virtual flower dissection. Then have a close-up look at plant cells and pollen viewed under a microscope lens.Cell Structure and Function 1.1, 1.2

Squid Lab

Explore the external and internal features of this fascinating invertebrate sea creature. Compare a squid to a human and learn where it fits in the system of classification.Cell Structure and Function 1.1, 1.4

Program dates are subject to availability. Schools outside of Davidson County pay a mileage fee of $.485 per mile. Traveling Laboratory fees have the material fees included.

Program Fees:
Davidson County: $110
Perimeter counties: $100 + mileage
Rural counties: $90 + mileage

Perimeter counties: Cheatham, Williamson, Rutherford, Wilson, Sumner, Robertson
Rural counties: Counties beyond the Perimeter counties
