Review this list of commonly asked questions to help prepare for your visit.
Do you have Food Service?
Our new, full-service Subway® restaurant is now open in our second floor Skyline Café. Service is available during all hours the Science Center is open to the public, providing freshly made sandwiches, salads and even personal pizzas.
The Skyline Café is for Subway® customers and school field trips with table reservations only. Please note, to protect our exhibits, food and drinks are not permitted outside the Skyline Café.
Visitors may also choose to bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the outdoor picnic area located off the lower parking area or leave the Center to visit a nearby restaurant (be sure to get your hand stamped for re-entry before you leave).
School groups planning a field trip have the option of pre-ordering box lunches for their school group or bringing a packed lunch from home. Refrigerators and microwaves are not available. Please make ASC’s Reservationists aware of your choice when making your field trip reservation.
May we leave the center and come back?
Should you need to leave the Science Center temporarily for any reason, you may return the same day, provided you receive a handstamp and show your receipt or printed ticket for re-admission.
What is the best time of day to visit?
Weekday mornings during the school year are often a busy time with school groups visiting the center. If you would like to avoid school group traffic, you might want to visit after 1 p.m.
What if I only want to see a planetarium show?
Because we do not have a separate public entrance and exit to the Sudekum Planetarium, all visitors during normal hours have access to all our exhibits. Therefore, general admission is required for any daytime visits in addition to any planetarium show tickets. However, we offer monthly opportunities to visit the planetarium and purchase only show tickets at our Second Saturday events. These are nighttime shows when all exhibits are closed and only the planetarium is open for guests. Seniors (65+) may also visit after 3 p.m. on Wednesdays and purchase only planetarium tickets for the 3:30 p.m. show.
Can we take pictures while we are there?
Photos and video for personal use may be taken inside the Science Center, with available light and electronic flash attachments. Tripods and lights may not be used. Publication or sale of photographs and videos is not allowed without Science Center permission.
Do you rent strollers or wheelchairs?
The Science Center has a limited number of wheelchairs available on a first come, first serve basis at no cost. You can rent a stroller for $1 each and by leaving a photo ID with our front desk staff. The ID will be returned to you when you retrun the stroller. You can request a stroller or wheelchair at the front desk. Please return the item to the admission desk promptly before your departure.
I lost my glasses, cell phone, jacket, etc. when I was there. Do you have it?
The Center maintains a lost and found. If you have lost an item, you may check with the admission desk to see if it has been returned. Unclaimed items become the property of Adventure Science Center after 30 days.
