You and your young scientist (age 3-5) are invited to participate in age-appropriate lab activities, science craft, a movement activity and story time—all designed to strengthen emerging skills and ignite curiosity in young minds.


2014 Series
All labs begin at 11 a.m. and last approximately 45 minutes.

April
No Little Labs scheduled

Winged Wonders  |  May 14 & 17
Bird is the word. Explore many features of feathered friends from beaks to wings. Make and take home a bird feeder!

Germ-Fighters  |  June 11 & 14
Bacteria! Viruses! Germs! OH MY! Learn what makes the human body sick, how to prevent illness, and how to fight the spread of germs.

Sea Creatures  |  July 16 & 19
Examine the animals that live in the water. Little Labbers will experiment with water and discover how water creatures survive.

August
No Little Labs scheduled

Robot Explorers  |  Sept. 17 & 20
Power On! All Systems Go! What’s a robot, and what can robots do? Explore simple robots and make a take-home robot arm.

Boo Bugs  |  Oct. 15 & 18
Bugs and spiders? Learn about the differences between the two. Investigate insects, and discover the world of spiders from web weaving to arachnophobia.

Autumn Adventures  |  Nov. 19 & 22
Talk turkeys, look at leaves, and poke at pumpkins as Little Labbers explore the fall season.

December

RESERVATIONS:
Three ways to register-
1.    Register online now. (it is only necessary to purchase tickets for any participating   children. Parents do not need to purchase tickets to the Little Labs.)
2.    Call Reservations at 615-862-5177
3.    Or stop by our front desk during regular hours to register.
  

Members: $8 per child
OR SAVE and register for all three sessions for $20 per child

Non-members: $15 per child
OR SAVE and register for all three sessions for $41 per child

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:
Parents are expected to participate with their children in all activities.
Please turn off and put away phones and pagers while attending the lab.
Any younger siblings in attendance must be confined to a stroller for the duration of the lab.
Excessively disruptive behavior may result in a participant being asked to leave the session. No refund will be granted.

Refund policy:
Cancellations made by the participant seven (7) days in advance of the workshop date will receive a full refund. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than seven (7) days in advance.

Cancellation policy:
In case of insufficient number of registered participants, Adventure Science Center reserves the right to cancel any program three days prior to the day of session. All registered participants will receive a full refund.

Weather Policy:
In the event of inclement weather, participants should check the ASC web site before leaving home, or call the main phone line at 615-862-5160. If ASC is open, but the participant does not wish to risk travel, the prepaid fee will be applied to another Little Lab date.
