Kids need to be excited about learning, and they need to understand how “cool” science is—and how this “coolness” can lead to a career. That’s the value of science centers. Our inquiry-based teaching techniques and STEM programs are designed to provide core science content with a “wow” factor, a fun way for young people to engage with science and understand the careers available to them.
With 44,000 square feet of exhibits, as well as the Sudekum Planetarium, daily live science experiences, hands-on labs and programs, ASC provides a wealth of learning opportunities.

Avoid the Crowds!
We highly recommend booking a field trip in the Fall or Winter. April and May are the busiest months for field trips. October through February are perfect times to explore and experience all the science center has to offer.
We make it easy to align standards to your field trip
Every program is aligned to multiple science standards. Use the at-a-glance chart to match ASC programs with your curriculum and district science standards. Browse this site to find downloadable activities and Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) for every program we offer.
Science Alliance of Tennessee
Adventure Science Center receives funding from the Tennessee Legislature as a member of the Tennessee Science Alliance of TN program, providing instructor-led science education for Tennessee students. This affirms the importance of our science education efforts and promotes museums and science centers as valued partners with school systems across the state of Tennessee.
