The Bacchanalian Society is returning to Adventure Science Center to host and serve as beneficiary of their summer wine tasting event. These events draw regular crowds of more than 1,000 people, so don't miss one of Nashville's most unique evenings. In the words of the co-founders, "it's a relaxed, social, blind wine tasting with a twist." The twist is some of you will take home a lot of wine! So, whether you are a wine connoisseur or drink wine from a box, grab some friends and come out for a guaranteed good time.
How the blind wine tasting works:
Each "team" can consist of 1-3 team members and is required to bring three bottles of the same designated wine (Pinot Noir). All “teams” are required to bring 3 bottles of wine, even if the team consists of only one person. It is possible to leave with more wine than you bring!
Upon arrival, all 3 bottles are given to the Hosts, who will wrap 2 of the bottles to conceal the wine’s identity. The 2 wrapped bottles will have a number randomly assigned to them and will then be set out for tasting. The third bottle will be left unopened and will not be tasted or displayed. At the end of the night, everybody votes for their favorite (and least favorite) wine. The winning teams take home all of the unopened bottles.
Teams can consist of up to 3 people. If, for example, 4 people wish to participate, they would be considered 2 teams and would need to bring six bottles to enter the event. This rule will be strictly enforced at the door.
Registration begins at 7:30 pm, so please be there on time.
By law, you must be 21 or older to participate. You MUST bring valid Photo ID with you.
Please Note: You will not receive physical tickets to this event. After purchasing your e-ticket, your name will be registered as an attendee. You will present your photo ID to enter the event.
